Somewhere between the red rock mesas of Southern Utah and the snow-capped mountains of Montana, we realized we'd been selfish. The biltong in our saddlebags was solving our problem while others suffered with gas station jerky. Brave Biltong was born from a simple truth: what fuels your adventure matters as much as where it takes you.

We're Alexander Hankoff and Iwan Zwarts, and we'd been making our own biltong for years, packing it for camping trips and long rides because nothing else out there made sense. Every stop, every campsite, we'd share our stash with fellow travelers and the response was always the same: "Where can I buy this?"

The answer was: you couldn't. So we decided to change that.

Today, we craft every batch with the same care we used for our own adventures. No shortcuts, no mass production, no compromise. We believe everyone deserves protein that respects both tradition and adventure - whether you're crossing continents or just crossing town.
